The story was broadly on the annual March for Life but prominently featured the Joint Statement and drafter Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League.
This story was the first to break the news of the Joint Statement in the media and lead to coverage in many other prominent outlets.
Though hopeful that the statement would receive attention in the culture, an exclusive feature in the New York Times was beyond the wildest dreams of the drafters of the Joint Statement, and an incredible kickoff for a statement that is proving more influential and important by the day.
